Preparing Your Space for Sauna Delivery

Preparing Your Space for Sauna Delivery

Choosing a sauna room is the first step. Planning how it reaches its final position is just as useful. A clear delivery plan helps you identify access restrictions and organise the site before the shipment arrives.

This checklist is a starting point. Use the installation instructions and written delivery terms for your chosen product to confirm the details.

Confirm what is being delivered

Ask whether your order arrives as a kit, as partly assembled sections or as a completed room. Confirm the number of packages, their dimensions and weights. The route needed for individual panels may be very different from the route needed for an assembled cabin.

Check whether the heater and accessories travel in the same shipment. Keep the packing list and the final configuration together so you can identify each part when it arrives.

Prepare the installation site

For an outdoor room, plan a level, stable support and drainage appropriate to the selected model and your site. Have the base design reviewed for the room’s loaded weight and support positions. An existing deck or paved area should be assessed rather than assumed suitable.

For an indoor room, confirm floor suitability, available height, door clearance and the required ventilation arrangement. Keep the installation and service clearances specified for the room and heater. Complete any necessary site work before arranging assembly.

Walk the access route

Measure gates, doorways, passage widths and any overhead restrictions along the proposed route. Note steps, sharp turns, slopes and soft ground. Compare those measurements with the shipping package or assembled-room dimensions.

Photograph difficult sections and share them before dispatch. Confirm the delivery point and who is responsible for unloading and moving the goods into position. Do not assume that a freight quotation includes lifting equipment, a crane or final placement.

Arrange the heating installation

Confirm the exact heater or infrared system, its electrical requirements and the documentation supplied for your destination. Have the electrical work planned and carried out by an appropriately qualified professional. The required supply and connection method depend on the selected equipment and local requirements.

Ventilation must also match the room and heater instructions. Avoid moving vents or temperature sensors simply to suit the furniture layout. If you select a wood-burning heater, have its chimney and fire-safety requirements reviewed for the specific installation.

Keep a short arrival checklist

  • Final product and option list confirmed.
  • Package dimensions and weights received.
  • Base and access route ready.
  • Unloading and placement responsibilities agreed.
  • Assembly instructions and packing list available.
  • Installation professionals and equipment arranged where needed.

On arrival, inspect the packaging and record visible damage or discrepancies promptly, following the carrier’s and seller’s instructions. Check the parts against the packing list before starting assembly.
